Apple Black Magic Keyboard and Mouse
- 2 minutes read - 247 wordsI ordered the Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID along with the Apple Magic Mouse in the new black colour shortly after the Apple Peek Event. You can see the unboxing video here.
Battery Life
I have been using them for over two weeks now. They arrived with a good level of charge, and I used them immediately and have still not needed to charge them. I expect that I will easily get a month’s charge out of them once fully charged.
User Experience.
I have been using them with my old Intel MacBook Pro and so have not been able to try the Keyboard ID fingerprint function yet. I have found the keyboard quick to get used to and accurate. The noise level is sufficient to give feedback without being as loud as a full clicky keyboard like a Razer Huntsman.
The Mouse felt a little low and flat at first but I had been using a Razer DeathAdder Pro which has a high ergonomic shape. I soon got used to the flatter Apple design and smaller overall size. I did change the natural scrolling option off in the settings as this felt wrong for a mouse perhaps because I had been using a scroll wheel on my Razer mouse. I found I had to turn this on again when using the laptop with the built in trackpad.
I look forward to trying them with my Mac Studio when it arrives and especially the touch ID.
